Arrival at Marrakech's Menara Airport. You will be welcomed and transported to your accommodation in the city.
After breakfast, head south to traverse Africa's highest mountain pass, the Tichka Pass. Your destination is Telouet, a former caravan route center before the road was finished. Lunch will be served in a lovely inn next to a river and surrounded by orchards. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive along the Ounila River to At Benhaddou, a Majorelle artwork. At Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an outstanding example of clay building. It is also a popular filming location. Spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Begin your day by traveling north along the Dadès River. The road narrows between granite cliffs, sometimes so close that only a little strip of sky can be seen. The road from Boumalne to Msemrir is one of the most scenic in southern Morocco. Visit the famed Todra Gorge in the afternoon and take a brief walk through the beautiful, year-round irrigated oasis gardens. In Tineghir, stay in an authentically restored kasbah.
After breakfast, depart for Erfoud. Optional trip to the Museum of Oasis Life in Tinejdad, where a qualified guide will provide insights into local life and culture. Continue north, following the Ziz River. The landscape changes dramatically, becoming plainly Saharan, lush and green along the river valley but desolate elsewhere. The difference is remarkable. Visit Meski's Blue Spring whenever you like. In the winter, the plateau beyond the pass is high enough to view snow. During the colonial era, Midelt was an important mining town, and its historic neighborhoods may be recognised by their architectural style and the presence of a former European community church. Spend the night in a hotel in Midelt.
After leaving Midelt, you'll journey through the Middle Atlas, known for its beautiful cedar trees. Along these peaceful paths, you could notice several monkeys playing. There are also a few panthers in the region, but they are well-protected and rarely near the roads. The Beni Mellal region is known for its strong agricultural output due to its location and extensive irrigation infrastructure. In Beni Mellal, spend the night in an orchard-surrounded hotel.
Today's destination is the Ouzoud Waterfalls. These 110-meter-high waterfalls are one of Morocco's most stunning natural beauties. A well-maintained path descends to the gorge's foot, near the lake into which the waterfalls plunge. If you choose your view point perfectly, you could even see a rainbow. The travel back to Marrakech is scheduled for the afternoon. Consider staying in a downtown hotel.
You will be transported to the airport for your journey after breakfast.
