Day 1: Marrakech - Telouet

After breakfast, early departure by Land Rover through the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, the highest road pass in Morocco and North Africa. You leave the main road shortly after the pass to reach the town of Telouet. You will begin with a visit to the ancient Glaoui Kasbah, which for five centuries controlled the caravan routes bringing products from sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech.

Next we will go to the Tasga inn-restaurant, which is located a few kilometers next to the river, in an orchard. When you arrive, you will be invited to the kitchen, where your lunch will be prepared. In this section you will learn how to make Berber bread in a traditional oven. 

, as well as its tajine simmering over embers.

Lunch will be served at the inn.

After that, you will be taken for a walk in the nearby douars (villages). Despite being close to Telouet, they are off the beaten path, which has allowed them to retain their authenticity. You will see the ruins of ancient Kasbahs, some of which date back three or four centuries. A little further on you will find the source of the sacred fish.

Back at the inn, the ladies will have the opportunity to try on traditional Berber attire.

Dinner and accommodation at the inn.

Day 2: Telouet to Ait Ben Haddou, then to Marrakech.

After breakfast, you will descend to Ait Benhaddou through the valley of the Ounila River, which is dotted with the remains of several Kasbahs that belonged to the Glaoui and guaranteed the safety of travelers.

Majorelle was inspired by these places, particularly the upper part of the valley surrounding Annemiter.

You will then arrive at At Benhaddou, a magnificent village with earthen architecture that has obtained UNESCO recognition. We recommend crossing the river and exploring the streets of the old town. Some families allow (optional) visits to their traditional homes.

You may recognize the setting for certain scenes from the movie "Gladiator."
