A three-day journey takes you through the captivating Dadès and Todra Gorges, as well as the grandeur of the High Atlas Range, culminating in a breathtaking sunrise at the renowned Merzouga Dunes.
Day 1 : Marrakech, Tichka Pass, Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, and Dadès Gorges
Our journey begins at the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, Morocco's and North Africa's highest mountain pass. The drive highlights the High Atlas Range's stark contrast between the Mediterranean north and the Saharan south. We go to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its magnificent clay architecture. Our route takes us east to the stunning Dadès Gorges, where we will spend the night in Boumalne Dadès.
Day 2: Dadès Gorges, Erfoud, and Merzouga
We continue east, passing through Erfoud and Rissani, the ancestral home of the Alawite dynasty. The enchanting Merzouga dunes will soon come into view. We end the day with a camel trek into the vast sand dunes, where we'll spend the night in a bivouac camp.
Day 3: Merzouga, Erfoud, Tineghir, Todra Gorges, Ouarzazate, and Marrakech
An early start is required to see the spectacular desert sunrise. We depart for Erfoud after breakfast, returning to the inn before continuing on to Skoura, a city adorned with exquisite kasbahs. The rest of the day will be spent traveling back to Marrakech, where we hope to arrive by nightfall.
