After breakfast, drive to the Tizi n'Tichka pass, which crosses the whole Atlas Mountains. On the same day, you will see the Mediterranean-influenced north and the Sahara-inspired south. Lunch will be served at the historic town of Ait Benhaddou, which has been designated by UNESCO for its outstanding earthen construction. You might alternatively opt to cross the river and walk through the small lanes of the ancient hamlet. Some individuals may agree to let you see their traditional dwellings (this is optional). Later, you'll descend to Ouarzazate and see the Skoura oasis, which is home to some stunning Kasbahs. Spend the night in a guesthouse or hotel.
You'll take the main route from Boumalne to the Dades Gorges entrance. The rest of the day is spent visiting the magnificent Dades and Todra Gorges, which are linked by the main road. Tineghir hotel accommodations.
After breakfast, you'll go to the famous Todra Gorges. We propose taking a trip around the palmeraie gardens, which have the advantage of having water all year. Then proceed east to Tinejdad, a tiny town. We recommend paying a visit to the Sahara Life Museum, which was founded by a Spanish historian and provides a scientific viewpoint on life in the Sahara. Continue on to Erfoud and Rissani, the Alaouite dynasty's birthplace. On the horizon, you'll notice the Merzouga dunes. You'll return to the car after viewing the spectacular desert dawn and eating breakfast. Depart for Alnif, a little hamlet well-known among fossil aficionados all around the world. After Alnif, you'll go to Tazzarine and Tansikht, where you'll join the Draa River valley, which is a lengthy oasis. Continue on this valley route to Zagora. at the palm grove, spend the night at a motel.
A short drive to the south will take you to Tamgroute, where you'll see the Quranic library, the subterranean kasbah, and the potter's studios noted for their unique pottery, which can be seen in many Moroccan homes. Return to Zagora before continuing on to Ouarzazate, utilizing the riverbank path wherever feasible to pass through villages and witness local life and farming. You'll eat lunch at Tamnougalte and then take a stroll around the historic village lanes, where some families still live. This location was featured in the film 'Tea in the Sahara.' After Agdz, you'll pass over the last foothills of the Saghro mountain before arriving in Ouarzazate for lunch. You'll arrive in At Benhaddou in the late afternoon.
Return to Marrakech along the historic caravan route between Ait Benhaddou and Telouet (weather and road conditions permitting). Visit the former Glaoui kasbah at Telouet. This fortification commanded the caravan route that brought goods from Sub-Saharan Africa to Moroccan towns. Lunch will be served in an inn at Telouet, by the river and in the midst of an orchard. Then you'll return to the Tichka pass route and return to Marrakech in the late afternoon. Overnight in an old-town guesthouse.
Transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport after breakfast.
