Overview

This varied camel trip is a really engaging experience. Furthermore, such a voyage is a profoundly human event that has a long-term influence. This route highlights several aspects of the desert, such as the hamada, the djebel, and the dune fields, as well as oasis, springs, and acacia trees. You may not think of the desert as a diverse and varied terrain.

These are going to be unforgettable days. You'll be in a whole other environment, engaging with people whose way of life is vastly different from that of Western Europe. Their cultures, customs, and ideals are diametrically opposed. These interpersonal relationships will be intriguing and extremely enlightening if you approach the world with an open mind and no preconceived notions.

You'll learn a lot and may even begin to rethink some of your regular opinions as a result of the thorough talks you'll have in the evening.

The camel trip is broken into phases of 18 to 22 kilometers, averaging six hours of trekking per day. In the evening, a cooked supper is served. The menu will be largely vegetarian due to restricted supply alternatives and meat preservation. Two-person tents are supplied for the night, and everyone must provide their own sleeping bag.

Day 1:

Arrival at Marrakech International Airport. Welcome and support are provided. Transfer to a city *** hotel.

Day 2:

After breakfast, take the Tizi n'Tichka route south in a Land Rover. We leave Ouarzazate in the direction of Tazenakht, then south across the Taguergoust pass and the At Kiouit valley. Meet the Berber camel crew and set up the first bivouac near Zaoua Sidi Abd n'Nebi as you arrive.

Day 3 through 10:

The path takes us directly into the desert, where only a few wells keep life going. The camel squad moves from one watering hole to the next. The caravan will go through the Erg Chebbi sand dunes for two days. Later on, we'll still encounter big dunes, but they'll be more separated. The camel team cautiously navigates around these dunes, but others who are more daring can climb them. The trek ends in a little community close to M'Hamid. The last bivouac with the whole squad.

Day 11:

Early minibus trip across the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate. Crossing the Atlas Mountains in the dark to get at Marrakech. Evening supper and stay in a *** hotel

Day 12: Transfer to Marrakech Airport after breakfast.
